Air pollution is process whereby the toxic gases such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and other gases mixes with the fresh oxygen that people use in the process of respiration. Many people are ignorant about air pollution  and its hazards.Admin (2011)  explains that air pollution is the introduction of chemical, particular matters or biological materials that cause harm or discomfort to human beings or the environment.

A combination of  vehicle emission, dust, smoke from domestic fires is a potential treat to the air that we breathe.FAO (2000) reveals that Zimbabwe is the second most industrialised country in SADC after South Africa. FAO also revealed that the air pollution in Zimbabwe is 37.5% and there is no systematic monitoring of air quality. The systematic monitoring program of air quality in Zimbabwe is necessary because  people need to know about their environment and how they can prevent environmental diseases.
